Round Up of Term 4 Week 2

Hi All

I trust that you are all enjoying this beautiful day. The children were certainly on a high last Friday with the World Cup Dress Up Day.

As you can see the boys certainly got it into it!!

Thank -you all for getting the baby photos in. I thought I would include them here so that the Parents who can't get into the classroom can see them.

This week the children will visit the Life Education caravan on Wednesday and Thursday Mornings from 11.50-12.30. They will learning about what they need to do to ensure they have a healthy body.

Having a great game with the cars.

On Friday for our TRUMP sessions Colleen and I are making use of the Hub for out- door play. The dress ups go out there. As you can see Angus, Liam and Logan were enjoying using some new head gear found in the dress up box. Also there are games; skittles proved popular last Friday.

This week I am out on two courses. One is Wednesday Morning so will not affect anyone--that is on 'Effective use of Digital Devices in the classroom'. On Thursday I will be around school but will on a day course looking at 'Numicon' a maths resource and learning how to use it in the classroom. Liz Hooker will be relieving for me on that day.
Then Friday is Jo Earl's final Assembly which is at 10 am. All are welcome.

Regards,
Mary

Round Up of Term 4 week 1

Hi All

What a great day--All Blacks win! and nice temperatures.
It was good to see you all down at Athletics on Friday--an amazing event which ran like clock work. Many thanks to Patrice, Debbie and Kathryn for their assistance.

On Thursday we had Amy from 'ASB' visit the class. Here she is dressed as the Super Hero; 'Captain Cash Fantastic".

She was brilliant with the children. Every now and then she had them up doing the super hero pose and chanting ' Speed to your needs and save for your wants.'

Also on Thursday as part of the 'Body Growth' unit we discussed body parts and labelled them. The children made very little comment and didn't get silly. Thanks for all the baby photos, they will be up on display by Tuesday. I will be sending home tomorrow another little bit of homework about some of their baby milestones, their first word etc. I won't need those back until the end of the week.

Up coming events for this week; at this stage we have Room 1 and 3 attending Mass this coming Friday. I think it could also be the day that the children are to come dressed in their favourite rugby team--but we have had no notice about that yet.

Regards,
Mary
